1. Welcome to Autoprint
Picture this: an order comes into your webshop, and before you've even put down your coffee, the packing slip is already sitting in the printer tray. No logging in, no clicking, no "I'll print it in a bit." That's Autoprint.
Autoprint is a small, quiet program that runs on your own Windows computer. It keeps an eye on your webshop for you, and the moment there's an order that needs printing, it prepares the packing slip and sends it to your printer. You don't have to do a thing — it just happens, all day long.
What you can do with it
- Print packing slips without lifting a finger. Every new order rolls straight out of the printer.
- See at a glance what kind of order it is. Orders for pickup carry the label PICKUP, and orders that haven't been paid yet carry UNPAID.
- Just keep working. Autoprint remembers what it has already printed, so you never get the same packing slip twice.
What you need
Three things, no more:
- A webshop on a platform we support (such as Mijnwebwinkel or CCV Shop).
- A Windows computer that's switched on whenever you want orders to print. Your everyday work PC is fine; it doesn't need to be new or fast.
- A printer that works on that computer.
A word about that computer. Autoprint does its work in the background, even when you're not at the screen. But of course it can only print while the computer is on and connected to the internet. Switch the PC off at night? Then that night's orders print as soon as you turn it back on in the morning. Nothing gets lost — it simply waits for you.
And who is Autoprint for? For webshops, and so for businesses. Right now we supply customers within the European Union. Is your company based outside it and would you like to use Autoprint? Drop us a line at support@autoprint.shop — we'll gladly look at whether it can be done.
How it works, roughly
Autoprint is made of two halves that work together:
- The program on your computer (we call it the Agent) — it fetches the orders and prints them.
- Our cloud service — it lays out the packing slip neatly and keeps track of what's already been done.
You manage everything from your dashboard at autoprint.shop: that's where you connect your webshop, choose your printer and see whether everything's running smoothly. The computer at home or at the shop does the rest.
